    CANCELED DUE TO FAMILY EMERGENCY

    Thursday, November 7th, 2019, 6:30 - 9:30pm

Add color and flow to your life with hypnotic acrylic paint pouring. Casey is a regular instructor at C+W and her paint pouring classes are very popular! Each time Casey teaches a class she brings a new element to the craft. That is why we have so many repeat students! In this workshop, you'll learn how to use paint in a "Let It Flow" abstract manner, resulting in beautiful marbleized flowing color, you will learn the "swipe", "flip cup" and "dirty pour" techniques to create three, possibly four, small-scale paintings. It's a great way to loosen up and absolutely no experience is needed.
All materials provided. Bring an apron or wear painting clothes, this will get fun and messy! Ages 14+ with adult participant

We will bring Casey back for Paint Pouring as soon as she is able. Thank you for your understanding.

    Sandal Making with Stace Fulwiler

    Saturday, November 30, 2019, 10:00am - 3pm

We are so excited to welcome Stace Fulwiler to Craft+Work!

Learn to make your own custom pair of handmade leather sandals in this one day workshop led by Stace Fulwiler Wood. Leather sandals have been worn for centuries, and for good reason: they are durable, breathable, comfortable, repairable and beautiful. Sandal making shops once dotted coastal towns throughout California, however this craft has become rare as shoe production has moved away from artisan methods & materials. Stace has been working to revive this craft by teaching sandal making workshops throughout California, showing people how gratifying it can be to make, wear, and repair their own sustainable footwear. No previous experience necessary, this class is open to women, men and kids as young as 12 (accompanied by an adult). Only 8 spots available, register today!

    who we are

    Roberta Rennie

Roberta Rennie is a designer from Pacifica, CA. Roberta graduated from FIDM with a degree in fashion design and a BS in Microbiology from Humboldt State University. After a 15-year career in biotech, she returned to her background in design. In 2015 RENNIE goods, a line of tote bags and accessories, was born.

Roberta designs and constructs all products by hand in her Pacifica studio. The bags and accessories are modern with a minimal silhouette and aesthetic for a clean and structured look yet are durable and made to withstand the rigors of everyday use. Please visit her website at www.robertarennie.com

    Abby Dale

Abby Dale is a designer in Pacifica, CA. Originally from Colorado, Abby has been in the Bay Area since 2006. She has a BFA from the University of Kansas, and through her extensive travels has developed her unique aesthetic - a juxtaposition of old and new.

Abby takes pride in breathing new life into objects that have lost their luster. Making something you have thought about getting rid of, something you will love.

Craft+Work is a working art studio! When we aren't holding workshops both Roberta and Abby can be found designing and creating at the studio.

    what we do

Looking for a place to hold your private event? Let us match your small-group with a qualified instructor to hold your event in our studio! Whatever your group's interest is, learning a new craft is a great way to connect. We'll find the workshop that interests your group and provide the space for your event. Great for bridal showers, birthday parties, corporate team building, etc.!

(Best suited for groups 10 and smaller)

We now offer specially tailored workshops that are perfect for kid's birthday parties (ages 5+). Use the contact form below to get started.

  • Shop Talk

Commonly asked questions about our classes and studio

What if I need to cancel?

All class registrations are final. We require a 72 hour advance cancellation notice in order to receive credit for a future workshop. Because our instructors supply materials for each participant in advance, cancellations less than 72 hour in advance will not result in a class credit, but you can gift your spot to a friend and have them go in your place. No refunds will be given.

Some classes have enrollment minimums. Every effort will be made to meet enrollment minimums and make sure the class is held. However there may be instances when a class does not meet minimum enrollment and has to be cancelled (see below). In these cases we will notify you at least 48 hours in advance and a full refund will be issued.

Is there an age limit for classes?

Unless otherwise indicated, our workshops are designed for adults and older teens as they may require the use of sharp tools and detailed instruction. Children 12-16 years old require the presence of an adult parent or guardian participant. At this time, unless a workshop is specified as such, children under 12 are not permitted.

    Where will I park?

We have an on-site parking lot that we share with the cafe, tattoo shop and taqueria.

    Will there be snacks?

We serve soft beverages, wine and light nibbles at each workshop/class. For longer workshops and classes you may choose to bring a bagged lunch (we have a refrigerator and microwave oven for your use). There is also a taqueria, coffee shop, and Gorilla BBQ next door.

    What are your open hours?

Our open hours are during craft classes and events and by appointment. We are not a retail store with regular open hours. But when we have a workshop or event our doors are open for you to come in, take a look around and ask questions! To be notified of our workshops and pop-up sale events be sure to subscribe to our newsletter here.

Wait, I saw a class listed and now I can't find it. Where'd it go?

This is the bummer part... Sometimes classes do not meet their enrollment minimum (usually 2-4 students), or we do not have any sign ups at all! It's a total drag when this happens, but because our instructors have to purchase and prepare materials and allow for travel time, we must make the call whether or not to hold the class a few days prior. For this reason we highly suggest signing up for a class earlier rather than later to ensure the class will be held!

Classes that are canceled by Craft+Work, or our instructors due to low enrollment or personal emergency will result in a full-refund.

Have a question not answered here?

Please send us an email and we will get back to you right away!
