About the Instructor Preeti Kelapure
Inspired by natural earthy forms, Element + Mineral jewelry showcases raw, organic beauty against an elegantly subtle backdrop of minimalist design. I've dabbled in the arts since childhood, but my formal education yields a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Bachelor of Arts in Business/Economics from UCSB. After graduating college, I studied at FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in SF,  earning a professional designation in merchandise marketing, inducting me into my early career, doing print/catalog and email marketing for the historic San Francisco luxury goods store Gump's SF. I soon transitioned into digital and email marketing supporting fashion brands like Bebe which eventually lead me into the tech world marketing for companies like Square. Fast forward to today, I've enjoyed transitioning myself into a creator and maker. I received formal metalsmith training from the Crucible in Oakland and continue to attend specialized workshops and classes to further my expertise.
