Intro to Weaving - June 8
Learn weaving basics with Erin of Feed the Fish co. Students will learn a handful of weaving techniques, including how to prepare a loom and add tassels. You’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece to take home. Plus, you can purchase a loom kit (made especially for class!) to continue creating. Finished weavings will be approximately 6 inches by 8 inches. Ages 14+ with an adult participant.

Class cost: $60
Materials fee: $8, payable directly to Erin on the day of class.

Loom kits available for purchase during class. Students who do not purchase a loom can borrow one for the workshop. 
Starter kit: $42 (includes loom, large weaving needle, comb)
Booster kit: $26 (includes two small weaving needles, shuttle, and shed stick)
3-pack Hanging sticks: $12
All looms are made from acrylic. 
Erin Garcia Mañalac is a crafting superstar, teaching classes, leading crafty parties, and sharing all her creative projects and adventures on her craftsyle blog Crafterateur.
Raised in Duarte, California, Erin grew up scrapbooking and making handmade greeting cards for friends and family. She now makes and creates in the San Francisco Bay Area where she officially started her handmade business Feed the Fish co. By day Erin works as an Epidemiologist coming up with creative ways to encourage healthy living (she’s also the office’s resident crafter), and by evenings and weekends she’s making and creating felt goodies for her handmade business and planning crafty workshops and parties. She primarily works with felt for her line of retail goods, but also enjoys macrame, weaving, watercolor, and paper crafts. Erin loves all things DIY, sandals year round, and heart-shaped everything.
