    PAPER CRAFTS: CREATING CARDS, SEWN BOOKLET & A BOWL with Elaine Chu, Bay Area craftsperson, and co-author of “Wood Paper Scissors,” a how-to crafts book. In her class you'll focus on making marks with common supplies in the house and everyday objects. Then we'll create cards, a hand sewn booklet, and an elegant 3D folded bowl.

    Stitch Your Family Flower Garden with Rosanna Diggs!
    In this beginner-friendly embroidery class, instructor Rosanna Diggs will walk you through the steps of designing and stitching your family flower garden, based on your birth month flowers. This class takes place online! Your registration includes all the materials needed and will be shipped directly to you prior to class.

    Faux Modern Calligraphy w/The Brightline Studio

    We are excited to welcome back Rachel Jacques of the Bright Line Studio! Rachel has designed a 1.5 hour long class for beginners eager to learn Faux Modern Calligraphy online. From the comfort of your home, in this interactive online class, we will go over the basics of faux calligraphy before heading into the alphabet and finishing up with phrases and a quote design! A workbook will be emailed to you before class which includes a list of all the supplies to gather prior to class, the full alphabet practice sheets, and links to instructional videos you can watch before and after the workshop for continued practice. This is the perfect new skill for anyone and everyone!

    Crochet Rope Basket w/Cara Corey

    Sunday, June 28th, 11am-1pm via Zoom Online

    Join instructor Cara Corey online, for a beginning crochet class, where you will learn how to construct a sturdy basket (perfect for storing craft supplies, toys or other household items) with soft cotton rope and your fingers rather than a crochet hook. Start by learning how to make increases to create a flat-bottomed round. Then you will use a different stitch to build the sides of the basket. Finally, you'll have the option of attaching leather handles to your basket with rivets. Students will also learn how to source materials and adjust the pattern to make baskets in different sizes and shapes. Register by June 20 to receive your materials in time.

    Sashiko Embroidery w/Kathy Barlow

    Sunday, July 12, 2020, 1pm-4pm Pacific time via Zoom Online

    Join textile designer and instructor Kathy Barlow and learn how to stitch Sashiko — those Instagram-worthy dashed beauties that are adorning our walls, denim and accessories. Pronounced 'sash(i) ko' with the i almost silent, it's a satisfying and meditative form of traditional Japanese embroidery. You'll be obsessed with the mesmerizing geometrics typically worked against dark indigos. Work with Kathy online using the kit she has assembled and create your own Sashiko pieces.

    Felt Flower Wall Hanging w/Erin of Feed the Fish co

    In this class learn to create felt flowers to craft a felt garden! We will review three techniques to create felt flowers, then design a felt wall hanging, perfect to display anywhere in your home. Register by July 11 to receive materials in time.

    Figurative Blind Contour Drawing with Watercolor w/Teresa Cook

    We are so excited to welcome Teresa Cook to Craft+Work Studio! Teresa comes to us from Florida with 17 years in painting experience. In this workshop, you will use your face as the muse to create yourself as a portrait, in watercolor with line-work called, “blind contour drawing”. You will be learning how to use pen to draw what you see in an abstract style. Register by July 11 to receive materials in time.
