    Beeswax Food Wraps w/Cara Corey

    Designer Cara Corey brings her Beeswax Food Wrap workshop to Craft+Work virtually on Sept. 27th!

    Save money and reduce plastic waste by making your own natural reusable food wraps with fabric and melted beeswax. Join instructor Cara Corey (via Zoom from Minnesota) for this eco-friendly craft workshop. These handy wraps replace plastic wrap and baggies and can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes for sandwiches, bowl covers, and more. You can also add button closures to your wraps, if you like. Register by Sept. 19th in order to receive your kit in time for class.

The Art of Self-Care is an interactive creative workshop designed to nurture and restore your creative spirit. Through art-making, mindfulness and gratitude activities, we'll spend the evening exploring your biggest goals and dreams. You'll leave with your own handmade art journal to continue your practice at work and at home.

    Macramé Plant Hanger w/Feed the Fish co.

    Join fiber arts powerhouse, Erin Garcia of Feed the Fish co. and learn to create this quick and fun macramé project virtually on Oct. 3rd!

    Learn macrame knot fundamentals and create a macrame plant holder to fit a 5" plant pot (not included). Finished plant holder measures approximately 7" by 24" and will be hung on a 12" dowel. Kit includes rope (in your choice of natural, pink, or gray rope) and wooden dowel. You will also need scissors, a ruler or tape measure, and tape to hold your project securely on a table. Register by Sept. 26th in order to receive your kit in time for class.

    Cereal Box Mechanical Cards w/Shawn Sheehy

    Craft+Work is pleased to welcome Chicago-based Book Artist Shawn Sheehy to our studio! Shawn has been teaching book arts courses and workshops on the national level for 20 years, including stops at the San Francisco Center for the Book, and many more. We are very excited to present his Cereal Box Mechanical Cards Workshop online where you will create this fun and engaging set of four movable, mechanical cards! Each card features a traditional mechanism made entirely from cereal box chipboard. YOU will provide the image that mechanism will move, using whatever materials you have on hand. You'll build a simple wheel, a simple pull tab, a self-guided slide, and a wheel/pull tab combination.

Melisa Joy is a San Francisco-based designer & fiber artist who has been teaching craft workshops in the Bay Area for over eight years. Join her Macramé Wall hanging workshop where you'll create a statement boho wall hanging and up your home decor game! You’ll learn a few basic macrame techniques while creating a unique wall hanging. Registration includes a complete kit that with all the materials you’ll need for the class.
